A huge thanks to Zach and the rest of his crew from Sigma Phi Epsilon who helped Brian, Keith, and Tony on MTU's Make a Difference Day with moving the horizontal ladder on the fitness trail to its new location near the South Bridge. They stayed over an hour beyond their scheduled quitting time to get the job done. Many thanks as well to the Chassell DPW, Dan Palosaari, and Eero Watia for helping us out with the tools needed to get the work completed!

The Chassell Recreation Club will be holding its annual meeting on Thursday, September 3rd, at 6:00 p.m. at the Chassell Fire Hall. The Chassell Recreation Club is a 501c(3) nonprofit organization that oversees the grooming and care of the Chassell Classic Ski Trails and bicycle skills park, as well as providing support for Misslitz Field. If you take out a membership for the Chassell Trails through Michigan Tech, you are a voting member of the Club. Taking out a membership helps support the cost of gas, oil, and equipment maintenance and repairs which were significant last season. An individual membership costs $20 and a family membership costs $25. There is only one vote per family membership. The current board is made up of Keith Meyers who serves as President and Secretary, Brian Waters who serves as Treasurer, Lynn Gierke, Steve Spahn, and Carol Moore. If you would be interested in becoming a board member, nominations and voting will take place at the annual meeting. The board can have up to seven members. Interested individuals are welcome to attend!
