A difference of night and day! Or, what a difference a day makes?

Here we share a photo before mural restoration began (Monday) and a photo during the cleaning process (Tuesday). The area depicted shows the garments worn by two angels (3rd photo for context). Work continues on the full restoration of Frederic Clay Bartlett's archway murals here at Historic Second Church!

Chicago journalist Eddie Arruza is working on video documenting Friends of Historic Second Church and its work to preserve the art and architecture of this National Historic Landmark. This is a sample look at the recently restored Jeweled Window by Louis Comfort Tiffany. This work was made possible by nearly 200 individual donations.

TROY, N.Y. -- Nate Lielasus and John Cramer with Friends recently visited New York State to take Tom Venturella and Jim Murphy, of Venturella Studios, up on their offer for a studio visit and Tiffany tour around the Capital District.

Tom and Jim showed them amazing windows in Troy at the Gardener Earl Memorial Chapel, Troy Public Library, St Joseph, and St. John’s. In Albany, they visited First Presbyterian and First Church and then returned to Troy to see St. Paul's.

St. Joseph has more than 30 windows by Tiffany and St Paul's has a full Tiffany-decorated interior in addition to windows (keep an eye out for this church in the upcoming season of The Guilded Age). All were struck by the magnificent Agnes Northrop window at First Presbyterian in addition to a familiar angel friend.

Tom and JIm have done all of the Tiffany restoration work at Second Presbyterian and they love having guests visit them in NY. Thank you, Tom and Jim!
