🍁 One of Our Favorite Days of the Year Is Almost Here! 🍁

The Anderson Township Historical Society’s Harvest Fair & Holiday Market is just around the corner, and we can’t wait to celebrate with you! 🍂 🎄

Saturday, November 7th | 12:00–6:00 PM

Come spend a wonderful fall afternoon at the Urban Farm! Browse the beautiful creations of local artisans, get a head start on your holiday shopping, and enjoy delicious food from The Loaded Goat food truck while listening to live music throughout the day!

🎶 Live Music All Day!
12:00–3:00 PM: Forest Hills Blue Grass Band
3:00–6:00 PM: Classic Rock Cover Band, BluMillion

🍎 🌽 Bring the kids and grandkids for some good old-fashioned fun! They'll love trying their hand at apple juicing, shelling corn with an antique hand-crank corn sheller, and visiting our feathered friends. It's a wonderful way to share a little history while making new family memories!

🥧 And don't forget our Pumpkin Pie Contest at 2:00 PM! Dust off that favorite family recipe, bake your best pumpkin pie, and bring it along! We'll be awarding 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place medals, plus a whole year's worth of bragging rights!
Whether you stop by for a little while or stay all afternoon, there's something for everyone. Good food, great music, unique shopping, old-fashioned fun, and plenty of fall and holiday cheer!

We hope you'll gather your family and friends and join us for a day filled with simple pleasures and wonderful memories!

😊 P.S. There's still room for a few more artisan vendors! If you create something special or know someone who does, we'd love to hear from you! Contact Emma at [email protected] for vendor information.

Can't wait to see you at the farm! 🍂 ❤️ 🍂

This vintage image from about 1903, is of the Cedar Point Post Office located at today's Beechmont Avenue and Burney Lane. Ben and Mary Heitel purchased the property around this time, with Ben managing the store and Mary working as the postmaster. A pay Bell Telephone was available there at a time when few homes had telephones. The Heitel family is pictured in the image.

This vintage image from around 1903, shows the students of the District 9 School. This brick schoolhouse was located near the intersection of Little Dry Run and Bridle Road, and was one of several new schools built in the 1870's. District 9 school closed in the early 1900's because of a shortage of pupils living nearby.
