We’re carving out a plan for the future! 🎃💧

This Halloween, we’re thinking about more than pumpkins, costumes and candy — we’re also looking at what’s hiding beneath our streets. 👻

No ghosts down there (that we know of 👀), but there are miles of water mains working around the clock to deliver reliable water to our community and many have been doing their job for decades.

That’s where Project 2030 comes in. CHWD is planning ahead for the future replacement of aging water mains, helping us prepare for tomorrow before aging infrastructure becomes a spooky surprise. 🎃🚧

Because when it comes to reliable water, we prefer planning over scares. 💧

Happy Halloween from Citrus Heights Water District! 🎃👻

Pay your CHWD bill through your bank’s online bill pay? Don’t forget to update your information.

With CHWD’s new billing system, customers who use their bank or credit union’s bill pay service need to update two things:

🔢 Your new CHWD account number
📬 CHWD’s new payment mailing address

You can find your new account number and updated payment information on your latest CHWD bill.

Taking a few minutes to update these details with your bank can help make sure your payment gets to the right place and is applied to your account correctly.

A little teamwork goes a long way in the garden! 🌿

Our Garden Corps volunteers recently rolled up their sleeves to give CHWD's demonstration garden at Sylvan Ranch Community Garden a fall refresh!

The team planted seasonal veggies, including bok choy, broccoli, and rainbow beets, along with colorful additions like plumed cockscomb, salvia, and violas to brighten the garden through the cooler months. 🌸

Thanks to our dedicated volunteers, the garden is looking refreshed and ready for the season ahead!

Fall wouldn’t feel the same without water.

That first cup of coffee on a cool morning. ☕ The trees and landscapes changing with the season. 🌳 The pumpkins decorating our porches. 🎃 The parks and outdoor spaces where we spend those beautiful fall afternoons.

Water is part of so many everyday moments often without us even thinking about it.

This fall, we’re taking a moment to appreciate the resource behind so much of what we enjoy.

Here’s to the little things thanks to water. 💧🍂

CHWD had a paws-itively great time at the Citrus Heights Community Marching Band Howl-o-ween Parade & Harvest Festival this weekend!

From the trees that shade our parks to the water bowls that keep our four-legged neighbors hydrated, water is part of the community spaces and moments we all enjoy. 💧🐶

We loved seeing all the creative costumes, meeting our neighbors (two-legged and four-legged!), and spending the day in the community we’re proud to serve.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by to say hello! 💧🐾

Ready, set… GROW! 🍂🌳

Fall is a great time to think about adding a new tree to your landscape. Cooler weather can give newly planted trees time to establish their roots before next summer's heat arrives.

Before you start digging:

🌳 READY: Choose a tree that's a good fit for your landscape.
📍 SET: Pick a location with enough space for it to grow.
💧 GROW: Give your new tree the water and care it needs while getting established.

And here's a little extra incentive: CHWD customers may be eligible for a shade tree rebate! 💰🌳

A tree planted today can provide shade, beauty and benefits to your landscape for years to come.

Learn more about the shade tree rebate program on our website. chwd.org/rebates

Imagine starting your day without water. 🚿☕🚽

No morning shower. No coffee. No flushing the toilet. No filling the dog's water bowl. And that's just the first few hours.

Today is , a reminder of how much we rely on water every single day often without even thinking about it.

At CHWD, we're also thinking about what it takes to keep reliable water flowing for the future.

Through Project 2030, we're planning ahead for the future replacement of aging water mains throughout our service area. That means doing the work today to better understand our system, identify priorities and prepare for the investments our water infrastructure will need in the decades ahead.

Because we'd rather plan for the future than imagine a day without water. 💧
