Today, the Village of Clarendon Hills hosted a Chili Cook-Off for Village employees, and the Clarendon Hills Fire Department was proud to have an entry in the competition!

Our team brought the heat with a delicious batch of chili! With eight entries in total, the competition was tough, and every one was worthy of an award.

Thanks to the Village for organizing a great event and bringing everyone together for some friendly competition, good food, and community spirit!

🚒 Keeping the Village of Clarendon Hills Safe Through Training

Protecting our community means being prepared for the unexpected. Today, members of the Clarendon Hills Fire Department trained with the Division 10 Hazmat Team on chlorine and ammonia incident response.

Training included operations in bunker gear and Level A fully encapsulated suits, reinforcing PPE procedures, operational safety, and coordinated response to hazardous materials emergencies.

The Clarendon Hills Fire Department will be hosting an American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare Providers CPR class! This class is for those who have never taken BLS before or have an expired BLS certification card.

The BLS Class covers:
☑ Adult, Child, and Infant CPR
☑ Conscious and Unconscious Choking for victims of all ages
☑ Automated External Defibrillator (AED) use and special considerations
☑ Breathing Barriers, Bag Valve Masks, and 2 Rescuer CPR

DATE: Saturday October 24th 2026
TIME: 9am-1pm
COST: $50

Audience: Healthcare providers, nurses, emergency personnel, and students in healthcare programs.
