Hello all. Claridon's own 1825 Flower Farm on Ensign road is hosting their free Fall Fest today from 3p to 6p. Live music, local food, hay rides, fresh apple c***r... sounds like fall in Claridon to me! (Also, go Gaurdians! I just had to squeeze that in here!). -JT

Good evening Claridon. I just want to mention that during our regularly scheduled public meeting tomorrow, Berkshire Schools requested to briefly share information regarding the proposed income tax increase in Issue 4. Chairperson Eric Brindo will allow them to field questions from the public should anyone have any. This agenda item will be at 6:00pm. It is a small part of the greater agenda so time will be limited. The Claridon Township Board of Trustees does not oppose nor endorse tax levies.

Other items on the agenda is a review of our equipment and buildings insurance (there is a 5 percent increase), a maintenance report, a fiscal report, a zoning report, and several miscellaneous topics.

If I don't see you tomorrow, have a great week! -JT

FYI, the BZA meeting scheduled for 10-8-2026 at 6p has been moved to 10-15 at 6p at the Claridon Admin building. There are no public hearings scheduled for this meeting. -JT

Tomorrow, contractors will be crack sealing the roads in Aquilla Village. This will help preserve the roads from damage! Please be careful driving in the village tomorrow. Thank you EB

Do you live on Ensign road? Joe and the team finished Essex Court ditching and started on Ensign road (reel). This is being done ahead of resurfacing the road (scheduled for calendar year 2027!). They will be working on Ensign the rest of the week. Please use caution as the men are working and be sure to give them a friendly wave 👋. -JT

This is a what has been up to this week. This is what it looks like when the ditches are cleared of years of fill. Thank you to our maintenance department and Dirt Dynamics for the hard work and dedication to Claridon’s roads and residents!

A message from the Claridon road team:

We teamed up with local Claridon business, Dirt Dynamics, to keep our roads safe and dry.

We're out clearing ditches to protect our community's infrastructure. Clear ditches (channels) pulls rain away from the road fast which keeps the road base dry preventing asphalt from cracking and collapsing.

Check out the ease of the flow on Stoney Springs (west). It's been decades since any ditching has been done on some of these roads. We've gotten a lot done this past week. Thanks to the many residents who thanked us. Your affirmation of our effort means the world to us! Have a great weekend!

Joe Stenger and the Claridon Road Team.

Now serving ice cream Claridon! Congratulations Sonya, owner of Sonya's Country Style Drive-in! Located on 322 across from Headwaters Park, this is a convenient store. Sonya put an addition on so she can serve soft serve ice cream noon until 9:00pm. Sonya said this ice cream is a higher quality mix and more dense. I just tried it, and I agree! Come say hi to her and enjoy the ice cream! (I made sure to get the menu in the picture). -JT
