Muka for El Paso County Assessor

It was a great event to see so many engaged and enthusiastic young folks. Big thanks to the organizers.

Last night, I got to participate in a youth-focused nonpartisan community conversation with Mi Familia en Accion, League of Women Voters, Colorado Blackpackers, and the Colorado College Sunrise Movement.

Young people are often overlooked by political campaigns, because they aren’t seen as reliable voters. But the problem isn't that young people don't care about politics – it's that too few candidates give them something to care about. Our campaign has shown that when you run a progressive, grassroots campaign that listens to the community and offers real solutions to the challenges people face, young people are among your most enthusiastic voters, supporters, and volunteers.

Let’s compete to live well.

We had another great day in the community. I met interesting and intelligent folks who asked good questions. Building relationships with your community is real resistance to the anti-social authoritarian tides that are rising around us.

I will be there, with a few friends. The DSA will be tabling and you might find me circulating a petition for a data center moratorium.

I got my ballot in the mail today. And I am ready to vote against all that would pose as Kings. No Authoritarians, No Oligarchs, No Dictators, No favor for the Epstein class, No billions for the Mar-a-Lago membership. Across the political spectrum we need to take power for the working folks. The rules are rigged against the families and communities everywhere across this nation and we all need to show up.Colorado Springs DSA

Really good work to help folks understand the ballot this year. I will be voting to put working people first.

These are such important issues. We know how taking rights away works. They target the most vulnerable communities and then it starts to spread wider. I trust that Coloradans will not fall for this hatred, but don’t take chances and make sure that the people around you are informed.

We are forced by culture warriors to vote on kids playing high school sports while real threats are looming over our communities. Bigger thinking is an imperative at this moment.

If you learn anything from history, especially in the American West, drought is a civilization killer.

I’m so honored to be endorsed by the Working Families Party of Colorado. Our team has done so much work to broaden the working class power across the Front Range. If only I had another good photo of my face, I could change it up a little. Colorado Springs DSA Working Families Party
