Prayers of peace and comfort for Ted’s family and the Bluffton community. Ted was a legendary mayor and served as the National League of Cities President early in my tenure as mayor. He was a great friend, incredibly witty, a man of strong faith, and a pillar of statesmanship. When i needed words of wisdom, Ted would be the one i’d call. I’m proud to have called him a friend and mentor.
Rest in Peace, Ted.
Ellis was first elected as Bluffton mayor in 1995, serving six terms in office, making him the second-longest-serving mayor in Indiana.
