A HUGE thank you to the Masonic Lodge for your support and incredibly generous donation to Camp HERO!! We truly appreciate your generosity!

Camp HERO is such an amazing program, and we are proud and grateful to be a part of something that makes a positive difference in the lives of others. It takes incredible community partners and support to make programs like this possible.

Thank you for believing in Camp HERO and helping us continue to make a difference. Your generosity and commitment to our community do not go unnoticed!

THANK YOU!! ❤️

Columbia City Masonic Lodge #189 presented a charitable donation to Chief Gary Parrett and Deputy Chief Chris Anderson of the Columbia City Police yesterday. We are so grateful for their support. Thank you, WM Jacob Yagel and team, for choosing to be a part of the Whitley Camp HERO family!

⭐️Interesting note: you will notice this picture was taken at the Whitley County Sheriff's Department, even though the donation was received by Columbia City Police Department’s administration. Here’s what’s important about that: the secret ingredient of Camp HERO is collaboration!

It’s a community of police officers, firefighters, EMTs/paramedics, and homeland security professionals. The whole will always be greater than the sum of its parts.⭐️

Columbia City Police is happy to provide this program again this year for the residents of the City of Columbia City.

🚨 Heads up, Whitley County! 🚨

Tomorrow morning, Saturday October 24, the Whitley County Local Emergency Planning Committee (LEPC) and Parkview Health are teaming up for a training exercise at Parkview Whitley Hospital.

You may see more police, fire and EMS vehicles and personnel at the hospital. This is only an exercise. The LEPC holds one every year at sites around the county.

✅ Hospital services, treatment and patient safety will not be affected.

Thank you for your understanding as we train for a safer, more resilient Whitley County! 💪

Congratulations to Sgt. Thomas and Officer Clark, who were recognized Friday at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway by the Indiana Criminal Justice Institute as Traffic All-Stars! 🏆

These two were recognized among the top 95 officers in the entire State of Indiana for OWI enforcement. What an incredible accomplishment and a true reflection of their dedication to keeping our roads and community safe.

What an honor it is to have TWO officers from the Columbia City Police Department recognized at the state level!

Gentlemen, your hard work and commitment to our community does not go unnoticed.

Thank You!!

POLITICAL SIGN REMINDER

Please be respectful of political signs placed with the property owner’s permission.

Under Indiana law, removing someone else’s political sign without legal authority may constitute criminal conversion. Indiana’s Election Division specifically advises that unauthorized removal of political signs may be criminal conversion under IC 35-43-4-3.

If a sign is on private property, the property owner may remove a sign from their own property. Otherwise, removal should be handled by the candidate/campaign or someone authorized to do so, or by the appropriate governmental authority when the sign is on public property or a right-of-way.

🛑 Do not remove, damage, or take political signs that do not belong to you.

If you believe a sign is improperly placed, report it to the appropriate authority rather than taking matters into your own hands.

Let’s keep things respectful and let voters make their own choices. 🇺🇸

Please educate yourself before purchasing or riding a scooter, e-bike, e-moto, or motorcycle.

Know the laws, licensing requirements, equipment requirements, and where you are legally permitted to ride.

Not every two-wheeled vehicle is treated the same under Indiana law.

Take the time to understand what you’re buying and the rules that apply to it, before you ride.

RIDE SMART. RIDE SAFE. Know the law.
