English language development teacher Kristen Vibas shares her breakdown of writing an introduction:

"This week is all about writing. ✏️

For a couple of weeks, my 5th grade students have been learning and gaining knowledge, talking about, and reading about corn.

Whether it’s in small groups or a whole group setting, the goal is to EXPLAIN.

They are explaining why corn is an important natural resource. 🌽

Today, in whole group, the lesson was on writing an introduction, specifically the hook. 🪝

I’m looking forward to building on this method throughout the year and seeing the progress students make with it."
