This week's student spotlight is Midshipman 4/C O'Farrell!

Currently pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering at Oregon State University, MIDN O'Farrell hopes to become a Marine Corps aviator. This school year, he looks forward to learning as much as possible about the unit and NROTC, rowing at the Division I level, and exploring as much of Oregon as possible.

Outside of classes and battalion duties, MIDN O'Farrell enjoys photography, rowing, playing the guitar, and reading.

A fun fact about MIDN O'Farrell is that he visited five countries over the summer and got to spend time with his cousins in Ireland!

On October 17th, our NROTC Alumni Association hosted their annual tailgater for the Beaver Battalion! This annual tradition brings former graduates back to the unit to connect with current midshipmen. Throughout the afternoon, alumni passed down valuable sea stories and insights from their Navy and Marine Corps careers, while getting to know the next generation of military leaders.

A special thank you to OC Schmidt and Alumni Coordinator Doug Neve for their leadership in executing a great event.

We are deeply grateful to our dedicated Alumni Association for their continuous support year after year, and a heartfelt thank you to all the families who joined us!
