Thank you again to the Oldham Countians and all who helped make this award happen. Our entire team - Command staff, career and volunteer firefighters, and auxiliary members - truly appreciate the generosity of those who so generously give to this effort each year!

Thanks to all who came out to assist with our detail at East Louisville Pediatric tonight. The cadets, led by FF Davis, put together a kids course, consisting of pulling hose, pushing a tire, carrying a ladder, etc. Great idea and outstanding work! Nice work, Cadets! Thanks to all of you for assisting tonight!

A HUGE thanks to organizers and all who took part in last night’s exercise. While we hope to never be in a situation like this, preparation and training is key to obtaining a positive outcome.

While the majority of our first responders are volunteer firefighters, the level of professionalism displayed by all participants speaks to the tremendous capabilities of our team (police, fire, ems, Emergency Management) in Oldham County.

Also, a special thanks to our community volunteers, who participated as actors in the exercise - we can’t pull this off without you!

And thanks to WHAS (Levi) for covering this and taking part in the exercise!

Proud to be a part of such caring and talented responders!

Oldham County officials say if you ever find yourself in a dangerous situation, remember the big three: run, hide and fight.

South Oldham Fire crews made quick work this evening after several incidents culminated with a motor vehicle accident by Camden Elementary School, which required the extrication of one patient while additional fire crews shut down east bound traffic on Hwy 146 from Veterans Parkway.

As always, thanks to our community for exercising patience during rush hour while we took care of the patient.
