A Special Congratulations to Ms. Low
Dear Prestonwood Montessori Families,
We are excited to share some wonderful news with our school community. Our very own Ms. Low has been named the new Principal of Foster Elementary School—a full-circle moment as Foster is also the school she once attended as a student.
Over the past five years, Ms. Low has made an extraordinary impact on Prestonwood Montessori through her visionary leadership, dedication to instructional excellence, and commitment to building strong systems that support both students and staff. Her influence has helped shape the culture of our campus and has left a lasting legacy that will continue to benefit our community for years to come.
While we will miss her tremendously, we could not be more proud of her as she takes this exciting next step in her leadership journey. The Foster Elementary community is gaining an exceptional leader, and we know she will inspire and empower students, families, and educators just as she has done here at Prestonwood.

What an EPIC way to end an EPIC school year! 🎉 From our principals and special guests getting slimed to an unforgettable glow party, yesterday was the perfect celebration for our students! Huge thanks to our PTO and Read-a-thon awards for making the fun possible and helping us send our students into summer with smiles, laughter, and memories they’ll never forget. 🌟

Reminder, all Dallas ISD schools and offices will be closed Monday, May 25, in observance of Memorial Day.
Students return Tuesday, May 26.

Today we celebrated a special milestone as our kindergarten students bridged from Primary to Lower! 🎓✨

We are so proud of how much they’ve grown this year — in confidence, curiosity, and independence. Watching them blossom has been such a joy, and we can’t wait to see all they accomplish next. 💙

Our Third Grade Picnic Celebration was a blast! It was the perfect way to celebrate our amazing students as they get ready to “pop into upper!” 💥📚

The free Kona Ice courtesy of PTO and the bubbles gifted to students made the celebration even sweeter and even more fun! Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make the day so special. We can’t wait to see all the incredible things our students will do in upper! 💙

Our students had an absolute blast participating in games, relays, and so much more. The laughter, teamwork, and school spirit made today incredibly special!

A huge thank you to all of our parent volunteers for helping make the day run so smoothly — we truly could not do events like this without your support and energy. Special shoutout to Ms. McKay for all of the planning, organization, and hard work that went into creating such a fun and memorable day for our students.

Last night we had the honor of celebrating Mr. Ibarra as a Teacher of the Year finalist at State of the District! 🎉 This incredible recognition reflects his dedication, passion, and the impact he makes on our students every single day—we are so proud!

The evening highlighted the amazing work happening across Dallas ISD, from innovative programs and strong academic growth to the incredible educators and staff who make it all possible. It was a powerful reminder of the excellence, diversity, and opportunity that define our district.

Dallas ISD continues to lead the way with a commitment to student success, college and career readiness, and creating meaningful experiences for every child. We’re proud to be part of a district doing such impactful work—and even prouder to have educators like Mr. Ibarra representing us so well! 👏✨
