We need your feedback to help shape the future of downtown Dayton. The Fidelity Block Community Input Survey is open through this Friday, August 28th.

New development is coming to the Fidelity Building at 5th and Main, and as we continue to activate the downtown area connecting to the Dayton Convention Center, our goal is to reinvigorate the entire surrounding block—which is where your vital perspective comes in. We want to know:

⚫️ What brings you to the Fidelity Building area?
⚫️ What are your hopes for the Dayton Convention District?
⚫️ What would keep you coming back in the future?

The results of this survey will help guide developers as they reshape this critical downtown block.

What is next in the Dayton Convention District? Join us for community focus group workshops as we explore the Fidelity Block Redevelopment. We are studying how to encompass sports, health and wellness, family friendly activations, entertainment and street level vibrancy. Our partners with City Strategies Group will moderator fun and interactive sessions on August 17th and 18th.
Continued economic development creates jobs, drives tourism, supports small businesses, and creates lasting benefits for residents and strengthens the entire community. If you are unable to join we have an opportunity to complete a survey coming soon.

The Montgomery County Convention Facilities Authority and Concord Hospitality Enterprises Company are thrilled to announce that our new Dayton Convention Center headquarters hotel will join Marriott’s Tribute Portfolio collection.

This development will serve as a cornerstone of the evolving Dayton Convention District. Located at 5th and Jefferson Streets, the full-service property will feature 197 guest rooms, a 3-meal restaurant, flexible meeting space, and a direct connection to the convention center and parking garage.

“This $77 million transformative investment represents a major milestone for Dayton and our convention district,” says Pam Plageman, Executive Director/CEO of the MCCFA. “Partnering with Concord Hospitality and Marriott’s Tribute Portfolio brand ensures we are delivering a high-quality, unique hotel experience that will elevate our competitive position and drive significant economic impact for the region.”

Upon opening in late 2028, the project will generate approximately 90 permanent new jobs and more than 300 construction jobs, while expanding our ability to host major concurrent events and national gatherings.

The Montgomery County Convention Facilities Authority, in partnership with Legends Global, is pleased to invite the community to the ribbon-cutting ceremony for the new Elevate Café & Bar, located on the 5th Street side of the Dayton Convention Center.

We are excited to welcome this flexible café-by-day, bar-by-night concept to downtown Dayton. As our CEO, Pam Plageman, notes, the space represents the kind of innovation and hospitality that strengthens our local economy and creates vibrant spaces for residents and visitors to connect.

We look forward to the positive economic and community impact this new gathering space will bring to our region.
