As we turn our clocks back this weekend, our evenings will get darker much earlier. That means students (as well as anyone else) riding e-scooters and e-bikes need to take extra precautions!
Our biggest safety tip? Whenever possible, avoid riding after dark. Plan ahead, ride during daylight, and arrange another way home if your trip will take place after sunset.
If you absolutely must ride in the dark:
🦺 Wear bright or reflective clothing.
💡 Use working front and rear lights.
🪖 Wear a properly fitted helmet.
📵 Put your phone away and stay alert.
🚗 Remember that drivers may have a harder time seeing you.
A quick trip home isn't worth risking your safety. When the sun goes down, consider leaving your scooter or e-bike parked. Let's keep everyone safe this season!
