Hands Of Christ: Duluth Cooperative Ministry

It’s the calm before our day begins. Here at the Hands of Christ Duluth Co-op we have food delivered almost every day. Out truck is out right now picking up from Walmart, others are at Kroger. Food comes in at our dock and will be distributed to families in our community within days!

This week we will serve 140 families with the food they need!

Over 1/2 of the food we receive is donated by families in our community.

Today at the Hands of Christ Duluth Co-op we served 55 families who needed food! We also talked to families in need whose financial challenges were beyond our capacity to help.

We received food from several neighborhoods which helps us address food needs.

We distributed boxes of fresh vegetables and boxes of children’s snacks for their summer break.

Volunteers gathered at the Duluth Co-op to build 140 snack boxes. We will be distributing these to our family’s as schools let out for summer!

As we celebrate Mother’s Day today, let’s be mindful of all the mothers working hard everyday to care for their families. Sometimes for some of those mothers that means seeking help…at Hands of Christ Duluth Co-op we try to address those needs every day.

Thinking of Mother’s Day reminds us of joy and celebration! But for far too many mothers in our community it will just be another day of worry. Finding food, keeping a place to live and finding stability for their families is almost impossible. Please help Hands of Christ Duluth Co-op help relieve that worry for over 140 mothers every week!
