When charging on a plane, keep portable charging devices on the tray table. Do not charge devices in overhead compartments and never charge e-cigarettes or v**e on a plane. If a battery overheats or fails, it is important for the flight crew to be able to respond quickly. For more info: fpw.org.

Stop using your device right away if the battery smells strange, is warm to touch, makes popping noises, changes in shape or color, or if you see smoke. If it is safe, move the device away from anything that can catch fire. A damaged battery can overheat and start a fire. For more info: fpw.org.

Great News! At 1:00 PM today, fire restrictions will be lifted. Please remember that while we have been receiving a lot of moisture, it is still dry and please recreate safely.

Thank you all for your due diligence this summer to keep wildfires out of our communities.

Thank you Clear Creek County! For your efforts to keep our community wildfire-free during a very dry and warm summer. At 1:00pm today (Sept 28), we are lifting fire restrictions for the county, in conjunction with the US Forest Service lifting restrictions for USFS land in the county. Clear Creek County will no longer be in fire restrictions.

Of course, we encourage continued diligence and caution for any open flame, such as campfires, slash burns, grills, etc. We appreciate your patience and cooperation while we've been in fire restrictions the past six months.
