Happy Fall!

About 200 MassCA students, families, and staff came together to welcome the fall season with a fun-filled apple-picking adventure at beautiful Honey Pot Hill Orchards in Stow! 🍏

From apple picking to a relaxing hayride, there was plenty of seasonal fun and lots of opportunities to enjoy time together as a MassCA community. We loved seeing so many of our students and families making memories and celebrating the start of fall!

As our school year gets underway, we are excited to highlight one of our outstanding MassCA students and athletes, Emage! 🎉

Emage competes in artistic roller skating, dedicating many hours to training while also balancing her schoolwork. She has found a wonderful balance at MassCA that allows her to pursue her passion on the rink while continuing to excel academically.

Last summer, Emage earned a National Gold Medal in artistic roller skating and a spot on Team USA! She will represent the United States at the World Skate Games in Paraguay this month.

We are so proud of Emage and all of the dedication, determination, and hard work that have brought her to this incredible achievement. We wish her the very best of luck as she competes on the world stage!🎉

Emage also shared some inspiring words in a recent WCVB article:

“You can keep going, you can keep fighting for what you want to be. Keep pushing. Never stop and always understand that you can do it.”

High school senior Emage Ogletree makes artistic roller skating look easy. The 18-year-old from Taunton glides across the roller rink with speed, grace and precision. But her journey to becoming a national champion and Team USA athlete has been anything but easy.

🌎🎉 Hispanic Heritage Month is underway in our MassCA Spanish classes!

From September 15–October 15, students are exploring Hispanic cultures, history, and traditions. They’re learning why these dates were chosen—including their connection to the independence days of several Latin American countries.

Students are also celebrating Hispanic culture through music, art, and food—including the music of Marc Anthony! 🎶🎨🍴

✨ Meet Jenna Redlener! ✨

Meet Ms. Redlener, who recently joined Massachusetts Connections Academy and is completing her first year as a Middle School Math teacher! ➕➗

Ms. Redlener loves working with both students and colleagues, who make every day fun, exciting, and full of new experiences. Her favorite topics to teach are solving algebraic equations and probability.

📚 Advice for students:
“Take advantage of Live Lessons with your teachers to learn the content in real time, and don't hesitate to ask teachers for help.”

Fun fact:
🎬 She loves going to the movies and enjoying the big-screen experience!
🦘 If she could travel anywhere in the world, she would choose Australia!

✨ Meet Kelly Warner! ✨

Meet Ms. Warner, who recently completed her first year as a High School Math teacher at Massachusetts Connections Academy!

As a first-generation college student, Ms. Warner believes strongly in the power of education and its ability to open doors and create opportunities.

📚 Advice for students:
Believe in your ability to succeed, even if you face setbacks. Progress isn’t always perfect, but persistence and a willingness to keep going make a huge difference!

Fun facts:
🧘 She is a Reiki Master.
♠️ She loves card games and is even part of a cribbage league!
🧠 She enjoys putting her knowledge to the test at trivia nights.

🎉 Back to School at Massachusetts Connections Academy! 📚

Last week, MassCA staff, students, and families came together at Lake Pearl in Wrentham for a fun back-to-school event!

Students from our Elementary, Middle, and High Schools had the chance to meet their teachers, learn more about their classes, and connect with the MassCA community. 💜

📚 Families also enjoyed a book fair, while our younger students had fun with face painting, yard games, and bubbles everywhere! 🫧🎨
