- Use mathematics
- Use science and technology
- Develop self-awareness
- Demonstrate social interaction
- Value environmental stewardship

These core abilities are woven throughout the student's avenue of study not becoming the sole responsibility of anyone course but rather integrated into all curriculum as appropriate, thus building a strong base for academic and personal success. Financial aid questions? We’ve got people for that! 💚

Last week, our financial aid team celebrated National Financial Aid Day by helping students fill out their Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), giving away prizes, and serving up some fall-themed treats! What a cool bunch!

Thinking about college? You don’t have to figure out the financial side alone. CVTC has a whole team on campus ready to help students explore their options and find ways to make college more affordable.

🖍️ Where were you when you were 0–5 years old?

CVTC Early Childhood Education students took their learning outside, creating sidewalk art to get the community thinking about those important early years.

From childcare centers to homes and preschool classrooms, the places where children spend their time help shape how they learn, grow, and develop.

Early childhood matters, and our students are learning how to make a difference from the very start!

What’s cooking at CVTC? Come find out on Wednesdays!

Our Culinary Management students are bringing their skills to the table this term with fresh food, rotating menus and restaurant-style experiences at the Business Education Center, 620 Clairemont Ave. in Eau Claire.

620 West Cafe | 7:30–11 a.m.
Need a pick-me-up or something to get you through the day? Stop in for fresh grab-and-go options, including savory bites and sweet treats. The selection changes regularly, so you never know what you’ll find.

620 West Restaurant | 11 a.m.–1 p.m.
Make lunch a little more special with a freshly prepared entrée and restaurant-style service. It’s a chance to enjoy delicious flavors while watching our students put their culinary skills into practice.

đź’ł Food and meals are available for purchase by debit or credit card only. Proceeds go back into the Culinary Management program to support student learning.

❤️ A little patience goes a long way. These experiences are part of our students’ hands-on education, so service and preparation times may vary. Thank you for being kind, patient and encouraging as our students learn, practice and grow.

CVTC was a proud sponsor in this year’s Hmong New Year celebration in Eau Claire!

Students and colleagues connected with the community and showcased CVTC programs, with a special focus on our English Language Learning program and Voices of the Valley, a collection of stories written by the program’s students.

Thank you to everyone who makes this celebration such a meaningful part of our community!

CVTC’s Educators United Club is partnering with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northwestern Wisconsin to bring career exploration opportunities to kids in the community.

Their first event, “Nacho Average Year,” celebrated how everyone has an important role to play, just like every ingredient in a plate of nachos.

It’s never too early to discover what fuels your passion!

Sometimes the best way to tell the CVTC story is to open the doors and let people experience it firsthand.

Earlier this week, Amanda Beaumont and Mark Laisch, professional staff members with the U.S. Senate Appropriations Committee, spent time at our Eau Claire West and Manufacturing & Engineering campuses.

The visit gave us a chance to show them around our hands-on learning spaces and share how CVTC students are preparing for careers that keep our communities and local employers moving forward.

When a company invests in its people, the impact goes beyond the workplace.

MAI Animal Health partnered with CVTC's Workforce Solutions and Continuing Education team to provide customized training designed around the company’s specific needs. The training gave employees the opportunity to build skills they can put to work right away while helping MAI continue to grow its workforce.

Customized training is one way CVTC works alongside area employers to strengthen skills, support employees and help businesses meet the changing needs of their industries.

We’re proud to partner with MAI Animal Health to support its employees and the region’s workforce. Read more about the partnership, here: https://bit.ly/46O1DsC

Prost to our Culinary students!

Our Garde Manger students put their sausage-making skills to the test and turned the kitchen into a mini Oktoberfest celebration. From a variety of handcrafted sausages to b**r cheese soup, there was no shortage of flavor.

Learning never tasted so good!
