Eau Claire County's Department of Human Services is hiring for their Receivable and Compliance Review position!

The Accounts Receivable/Compliance Review Fiscal Associate is responsible for performing accounts receivable, billing, collection, and fiscal support functions for the Department of Human Services (DHS). This position ensures the accurate preparation, processing, reconciliation, and maintenance of financial records and offers contract support in compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), county policies, and applicable state and federal regulations. The position supports departmental financial operations through billing coordination, payment processing, collections activities, financial reporting, regulatory compliance, and maintenance of fiscal records and contracts.

Do you use a private well? Now is the time to get your water tested. Get a discount on your well water testing October 5-15!

Anyone who uses a private well can get their drinking water tested for nitrate, bacteria, and more at a discounted price at the Health Department during that timeframe.
To get started, pick up a water sample kit at the department now. Anyone who returns their water sample to our office between Monday, October 5 and Thursday, October 15 will get a discount on certain tests.
Two bundles of tests will be discounted: Bacteria and nitrate bundle for $40 (normal price $54) is recommended yearly for all private well users, and the Homeowners Premium bundle for $110 (normal price $155) includes bacteria and nitrate testing plus testing for metals.

Private well owners should test their drinking water at least once a year, as many contaminants can't be seen, smelled, or tasted.
