Village of Elizabeth

10/31/2026

2026 Halloween activities in Elizabeth will take place at Town Hall from 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM! Because Main Street is currently being used as a detour route due to local bridge closures, the event layout has been relocated for everyone's safety.

• 🏛️ The New HQ: All booth setups and trick-or-trunking will be safely stationed exclusively at Town Hall.

• 🗺️ Get Your Map: A door-to-door candy map will be available at Town Hall to help keep the traffic flowing and avoid unnecessary vehicle congestion.

• 🚫 Closed Zones (With One Exception): Do not head to the Community Center or the main Baptist Church parking lot—no booths or trunks will be set up there. However, the Baptist Church will still be handing out candy by the church bus, safely located off Pecan Street.

Stay safe out there, and let's show these ghouls how we do things in Elizabeth 🎃

Friendly Reminder:

The Village of Elizabeth’s roads are narrow, leaving trash containers by the roadside creates serious safety hazards for passing vehicles, emergency responders, and utility crews. This is especially critical right now since the current bridge closures on LA 10 and LA 26 have rerouted a significant amount of highway traffic directly through our local roadways. Per- ordinance, ALL containers must be pulled back from the roadway promptly after collection.

We would greatly appreciate your cooperation in keeping our streets clear, safe, and navigable during this period of increased traffic.

Sincerely, The Village of Elizabeth, LA

My owner hasn’t claimed me 💔

I’m looking for a home and to be honest it’s been VERY lonely in this kennel!

I am a good dog! 🐶
I’m considered a young dog.
I’m not a big dog.
MY previous owners taught me how to sit on command.
With the right amount of attention, patience, and care I’ll be your BEST FRIEND.

Please take me home 🏠
