🏫 Lorain County schools are stepping up to the ♻️ challenge, and the competition is just getting started! 🛍️🏫

Several weeks of numbers are in, and our participating Lorain County schools are off to a GREAT start! 🎉

📊 Check out the standings! These totals reflect plastic shopping bags turned in to the Lorain County Collection Center (540 S. Abbe Road, Elyria) from September 1, 2026 through October 16, 2026.

🏆 Keystone Elementary is currently leading the pack, with Elyria Catholic High School and Elyria High School rounding out the top three!

But don’t get too comfortable…there are still 10 WEEKS TO GO! 👀

That’s plenty of time for schools to climb the leaderboard, catch up to the competition, and make a BIG impact!

💚 Keep collecting those plastic shopping bags, rally your friends and family, and help your school move up in the standings!

📅 Contest ends December 28, 2026!

Every bag counts, every pound matters, and it’s still ANYONE’S contest! 💪♻️

Let’s see what our Lorain County schools can accomplish over the next 10 weeks!
