Every morning, someone fills a coffee pot, takes a shower, or waters the lawn. Water is available when you need it. As our region experiences a period of sustained extreme heat, we want to assure our customers that we are fully prepared to maintain safe, reliable water service throughout this event.

Extreme weather places increased demand on water systems, and OMWD has proactive measures in place to meet that demand. Our team continuously monitors system performance, water supply levels, and infrastructure conditions to provide reliable delivery to the homes, businesses, and communities we serve.

A key component of our preparedness is the deployment of emergency backup generators at critical facilities. In the event of a public safety power shut off, these generators allow us to keep delivering water. This redundancy is central to our commitment to resilience and reliability.

Our dedicated staff remains on call 24-7, with personnel ready to respond to any emergencies.

The health and safety of our customers remains our highest priority. OMWD will continue to provide updates as needed and is committed to keeping water flowing when our community needs it most.đź’§
