Founded in 1987, IRIS is a 501(c)3 Nonprofit dedicated to helping parents, family, friends, and professionals who have been touched by the death of a child at any stage of pregnancy through early childhood. (IRIS) was founded in 1987 to meet the unique needs of families grieving the loss of a pregnancy, or death of an infant, or young child.

Photos of mom before she lost her hair and now. It’s no longer to her waist, it’s short, gray and black and super curly. Enjoy the update below.

Mom wanted me to let you all know that she’s gone through several tests this week. Including a mammogram that came back clear. She had her normal weekly bloodwork done. Which again came back looking wonderful.

Her liver is looking MUCH happier these days. But she’s still being kept on prednisone until it’s 100% healthy again.

And now the moment we’ve all been waiting for. The long awaited much anticipated results of the blood test done by the surgeon who stole her kidney have finally arrived!!!!

DRUMROLL PLEASE!!!

The results show NO CANCER CELLS in her bloodstream!!!!!!!!!

Making her CANCER FREE!!!!!!!!

Weekly blood tests will continue to check in on the liver and to check for any signs of cancer coming back again.

We ask for your continued prayers and positive vibes that the cancer never returns and we can keep this party rolling!!!!

We wanted to thank every single one of you who came out for the benefit we had for mom recently. It went incredibly well. Better than we’d even hoped it would have.

A huge thank you to everyone who helped out Caitlin and I with planning everything and assisting us in getting food and silent auction items and helping serve and just take care of what we needed done that night.

Especially Stacy Chmelik, Jackie Slama, Brandi Petricka, Irene Helgeson, Connie DeGrood, Mike & Chris Petricka you’re the best thank you all so much!!!!

Massive thank yous to Dick and Anna Kettering for taking care of the pulled pork and smoking it for us. It was perfect.

To the Dairy Queen for providing buns.

The Channel Inn, The Broaster and John & Stacy Chmelik for coleslaw & potato salad.

IRIS Turkey Trot Memorial signs are such a simple beautiful way to honor your child during the holiday season. You can choose a sign with your child’s photo and name or one with just their name. Make sure to stop by your child’s sign at the Turkey Trot and take a picture 🩷🩵 Memorial signs are at the Turkey trot and other IRIS events such as the Holiday Service and Heavens Angels Motorcycle Run.
