Thank you to everyone who came out to our open house Monday evening! We loved welcoming our neighbors to Station 1, showing off our apparatus, and sharing a little of what we do with the community.

A special thank-you to Hun-Val Dairy Farm for bringing the ice cream trailer, and to all of our members and Raritan Township Fire Company Auxiliary who helped prepare the station, trucks, and activities. We appreciate everyone who stepped up to make the evening a success.

We were also honored to welcome our special guest, former FDNY Rescue 5. A rig that responded to the World Trade Center on September 11, 2001, and is now owned by the Carl V. Bini Memorial Fund. Thank you to Vinny for bringing it to us and giving our community the chance to see this remarkable piece of history.

Thanks for spending part of your evening with the volunteers of the Raritan Township Fire Company. We hope you enjoyed it as much as we did!

RTFC was dispatched Wednesday afternoon for a fire alarm on Normandy Court. Squad 21 and Engine 21-2 responded. Neighbors reported the alarm sounding with no one home. Upon arrival, smoke was visible from a second-floor sliding window. Crews laddered the building, made entry through the porch, and found a pot of food burning on the stove. The burning food was removed and extinguished and the structure ventilated. Companies were clear within the hour.

Early Thursday morning, RTFC and mutual aid companies were dispatched for a reported fire in an office building on Route 31. Squad 21 and Engine 21-2 responded. Crews located a burned hydraulic pump used for the building’s elevator. Power was secured to the unit and the structure was ventilated. Companies were clear shortly after, and the building was turned over to maintenance.

Thursday afternoon, following a fire alarm at Hunterdon Central Regional High School, RTFC responded to a vehicle fire on Norton Drive in Raritan Township. Squad 21 and Engine 21-2 found a fully involved vehicle with fire extending to nearby trees. Crews extinguished the fire, mitigated fluid spills, and the driver was evaluated and transported by EMS. Companies were clear within the hour. Cause remains under investigation.

Looking to join the team? We are always looking for dedicated volunteers to help the community. Check us out online or shoot us a message.

Thank you to everyone who joined us for the 14th Annual RTFC 9/11 Stair Climb this past Sunday at Hunterdon Medical Center. Over 100 climbers attended the event, regardless of the weather!

It was an honor to climb together in memory of those who made the ultimate sacrifice on September 11, 2001. Seeing first responders and community members side by side, many in full turnout gear, made the day truly special.

A huge thank you to all of our incredible volunteers…your hard work before, during, and after the climb made everything possible.

And a big thank you to all of our vendors who showed up and supported the event through donations. We couldn’t have done it without you!

Thank you to Hunterdon Health for allowing us to use the parking garage as well as to everyone who came out to spectate, and to those who supported the FEALGood Foundation through this event!

Until next year. stay safe, and never forget!
