⭐️⭐️ IMPORTANT NOTICE ⭐️⭐️
The State of Wisconsin, Division of Foresty, will have a timber harvesting operation starting up on Monday, November 2nd, 2026. The trail affected is trail C6 South of the Pine River Bridge.
The Florence County Highway Commission has granted trail users permission to use County Highway N as a detour route to bypass timber sale activity during this time.
The detour will take place between the Pine River-Oxbow access parking lot, north of the bridge, and continue south on County Highway N for approximately 1 mile
to the roadside trail section on the east side of the road. At that point, riders can carefully access the existing trail to continue south on their journey.
Travel with the flow of traffic and stay on the pavement.
Please use turn signals if available or hand signals whenever possible.
There will be flashing billboards placed along Highway N to help control traffic on both ends of the detour and signage placed along the route for reference.
This timber sale is expected to take place over the course of 3 weeks. Work will begin on Monday morning and continue through Friday late afternoon. At the end of the
day on Friday, the signs will be taken down and the trail will re-open for the weekend.
Once the timber sale is complete, the detour will be taken down and the trail will re-open.
Thank you for your cooperation,
Mathew (Mat) Gummin
