WATERLINE REPAIR UPDATE – TEMPORARY WATER SHUTOFF 🚨

Laurelwood Neighbors,

The waterline break at the entrance of Laurelwood at Old Fannin Road is being addressed this morning.

In order to locate the leak and make the necessary repairs, the water will need to be temporarily shut off. We anticipate the water being turned off in approximately one hour.

The outage will affect homes along Olympic Drive, Laurel Drive, and Estates Drive, extending all the way to Baytree.

Please note: The Laurelwood entrance at Old Fannin Road will also be CLOSED while repairs are underway. Please plan to use an alternate entrance/exit until the work is complete.

We will continue to share updates as we receive more information, including an estimated timeline for repairs and when water service is expected to be restored.

Thank you for your patience and understanding while this issue is being resolved.

Today, the City of Flowood joins our nation in marking 25 years since September 11, 2001.

We remember the nearly 3,000 lives lost, honor the first responders and heroes who answered the call, and reflect on the courage, sacrifice, and unity shown by Americans in the face of unimaginable tragedy.

Twenty-five years later, we remain united in remembrance. We will never forget.

🚨 WATER PRESSURE ADVISORY 🚨

The Flowood Water Department is aware of reports of low water pressure or no water pressure affecting residents in the Farmington, Avalon, Regatta, and surrounding areas.

There is a possible main water leak near 401 Mainsail Way; however, the exact location and cause have not yet been confirmed by the water department.

The water company has been notified and currently has personnel en route to investigate the issue and make any necessary repairs.

We understand the inconvenience this may cause and ask residents for patience while crews work to identify and resolve the problem.

We will provide additional information as it becomes available.
