đź’ś DAY 24 | KNOW THE NUMBERS. CHANGE THE STORY.

Domestic violence is not a rare occurrence. It affects millions of people and families across our nation.

📊 DID YOU KNOW? According to the CDC's 2023–2024 National Intimate Partner and Sexual Violence Survey:

đź’ś More than 1 in 3 women (34%) have experienced contact sexual violence, physical violence, and/or stalking by an intimate partner during their lifetime.

đź’š More than 1 in 6 men (17%) have experienced these forms of violence by an intimate partner during their lifetime.

Behind every statistic is a human being, a family, and a story that matters.

WHAT CAN WE DO?
✔️ Educate ourselves and others.
✔️ Believe and support survivors.
✔️ Challenge harmful behaviors.
✔️ Support organizations providing services.
✔️ Work together to prevent violence.

Statistics help us understand the scope of the problem. Our actions can help change the future.

đź’ś DAY 22 | YOU ARE NOT ALONE

No one should have to navigate domestic violence alone. Sometimes, one caring person, one supportive conversation, or one connection to the right resource can make a life-changing difference.

đź’ś Support reduces isolation.
đź’ś Encouragement helps rebuild confidence.
đź’ś Trusted people can help strengthen safety.
đź’ś Community resources connect survivors to services.
đź’ś Support opens doors to new possibilities.

You don't have to have all the answers to make a difference. Listen without judgment, respect a survivor's choices, and help connect them with resources when they're ready.

When we support survivors, we help build stronger families and safer communities.

DAY 21 | HEALING IS POSSIBLE

To every survivor finding their way forward: you deserve peace, support, and the opportunity to rebuild your life on your own terms.

Healing is not a race. It may look like prioritizing your safety, reaching out to someone you trust, taking small steps, practicing self-care, or discovering new possibilities for your future.

✨ Prioritize your safety.
✨ Connect with people who support you.
✨ Celebrate your progress, even when it's small.
✨ Give yourself grace and time to heal.
✨ Remember that your past does not define your future.

You are more than what happened to you. You deserve to feel safe, valued, and hopeful about what lies ahead.

đź’ś DAY 19 | BREAKING THE CYCLE. BUILDING A BRIGHTER FUTURE.

Domestic violence impacts more than one person—it affects children, families, and entire communities. But together, we can break the cycle and create a different future for the next generation.

đź’ś Teach children respect and healthy relationships.
đź’ś Have open conversations about emotions and kindness.
đź’ś Challenge harmful behaviors and speak up against abuse.
đź’ś Believe survivors and connect them with resources.
đź’ś Work together to build safer, stronger communities.

Prevention starts with us. The lessons we teach, the behaviors we challenge, and the support we provide can help shape a future where respect replaces fear and healthy relationships become the standard.

Let's work together to break the cycle of violence—one family, one conversation, and one community at a time.

Your past does not define your future.

Rebuilding after domestic violence can involve many things: finding safety, restoring confidence, exploring new opportunities, strengthening financial stability, and rediscovering who you are.

You don't have to accomplish everything at once. Start where you are. Take one step that supports the life you want to build.

✨ Prioritize your safety.
✨ Surround yourself with people who respect you.
✨ Explore education, employment, and financial resources.
✨ Set goals that reflect YOUR hopes and dreams.
✨ Celebrate every step forward, no matter how small.

Remember: Empowerment is not about doing everything alone. It's about having choices, access to resources, support, and the freedom to make decisions about your own life.

At Sisters Empowerment Network, Inc., we believe women and children deserve opportunities to learn, grow, and build a stronger future.
