Want to take this time to THANK all of the Gillespie County paid and Volunteer Fire Departments!!

Many residents may not know that the Majority of these fire departments are fully staffed by volunteers. As you see in these photos from the past two days they show up and do what they don’t get paid to do.

Fight Fires and not just grass fires.

They dedicate their time, skills and in some cases risk their lives with no cost to the taxpayers as VOLUNTEERS!

The Gillespie County Sheriff’s Office is committed to assist these agencies to the best of our ability!

We knock on doors, open gates and cut down fences so these amazing volunteers can do their the job to protect property and life.

Today Stonewall Volunteer Fire Department will be having their Annual SVFD Fish Fry starting at 5:00pm.

This is not an advertisement but a call for support to the volunteer Firefighters of Gillespie County!

These many Volunteer Fire Departments and the amazing Gillespie County Community Support makes me always proud to say….

I am Gillespie County Proud!!!

Thank You Sheriff Chris Ayala
