Last weeks warm and sunny weather has brought our Cactus Garden to become a painter’s pallet. Check out the variety of blooms it is showcasing and be sure to look up and down and into tiny crevasses. While you’re at it check out our Thursday morning plant fundraiser 9am-12pm. This weeks special is the Cape Primrose. With its beautiful purple flowers. Your support helps our volunteers to keep this amazing historical garden alive and well for you to enjoy.

A BIG thank you to Bruce and Nelson for getting the Three Tier Leonesco Lion Fountain up and running. This amazing centerpiece in the garden’s lawn has been a favorite for all the parks visitors and is maintained by our volunteers.
Be sure to stop by this morning 9am-12pm to discover new plants available in our pop-up fundraiser. Check out a blooming Cape Primrose! And get your own Pride of Madeira.

Pun alert in the garden! “John Rock’s Rock Garden Rocks”
John Rock and his partners bought the nursery in 1884. Would he have enjoyed punning around in the garden? He was born in Germany and maybe he could have punned in two languages. You can make your own painted rock!

Looking for a beautiful succulent arrangement? Stop by the old rose garden for these and other items during the event today 12-4:00. Your donations support the garden activities that keep the gardens beautiful and serene. (If you come early, they will probably be set up already)

When you come to the park tomorrow, Saturday, for the event, stop by the historic orchard in the back of the park. The orchard is being restored and with plans for more trees. Want to help? Volunteer or make a donation?
