Today, the members of the SCCCD Police Department pause to honor and remember all of our Nation’s fallen military heroes. Memorial Day is a solemn reminder that the freedoms we enjoy today were preserved through the courage, sacrifice, and unwavering devotion of brave men and women who answered the call to serve our Country.
We also recognize the immense sacrifice carried by their families — those who endured loss, carried on with strength, and continue to honor the legacy of their loved ones.
On behalf of the SCCCD Police Department, we extend our deepest gratitude to all who have given the ultimate sacrifice in defense of our Nation. Their valor, service, and commitment to liberty will never be forgotten.
May we always remember that freedom is never free.

A huge thank you to West Coast Consulting Group (https://www.wccginc.com) for two outstanding days of ICS and emergency preparedness training with the State Center Community College District!
Over the past two days at Fresno City College and the SCCCD District Office, our campus and district teams came together to strengthen our emergency response coordination, communication, and preparedness for critical incidents and large-scale events.
From Incident Command System (ICS) principles to real-world response planning, the training challenged our teams to think collaboratively, strategically, and proactively about campus safety. These types of partnerships and trainings are critical in helping ensure we are prepared to protect and support our students, staff, faculty, and community during emergencies.
Thank you to everyone who participated, engaged in discussions, and worked through the scenarios together. Special appreciation to West Coast Consulting Group for sharing your expertise, professionalism, and passion for preparedness.
