📣 FRITCH – WE NEED YOUR INPUT!

I'm resharing this information because it's just as important today as it was when we originally introduced it back in May.

To date, we've received only SIX survey responses.

I understand these types of surveys and community engagement efforts are new to our area, and people may not fully understand why they're important. But I want to take a moment to explain why your participation matters.

❤️ This isn't just a survey. It's a building tool for Emergency Management.

The information you provide helps us make better, more informed decisions when developing emergency plans, identifying community vulnerabilities, pursuing mitigation opportunities, and determining where resources and assistance may be needed.

We need to hear from YOU rather than making important planning decisions blindly.

Your input helps us better understand:
- 🔥 Wildfire risks and vegetation concerns.
- 🌧️ Flooding, drainage, and severe weather impacts.
- 🚒 Emergency access and response challenges.
- 📍 911 address visibility and verification.
- ❤️ STEAR program awareness and residents who may need additional assistance.
- 🏡 Interest in future mitigation programs, funding, and property protection efforts.

Please don't underestimate how important this information is.

Emergency preparedness doesn't begin when the sirens sound or an evacuation is ordered. It starts long before an emergency happens.

The information gathered through this survey can help shape decisions, improve planning, identify needs, and help us provide information and resources that residents can actually use BEFORE, DURING, and AFTER disasters and emergencies.

We cannot effectively plan for a community if we don't understand the community's concerns, needs, and challenges.

🙏 Please take a few minutes to complete the survey. Share it with your neighbors, family, and friends. Every response matters!

Your voice matters. Your experiences matter. And your participation helps build a safer, stronger, more prepared community.

Let's work together instead of waiting until disaster strikes to discover what we could have addressed beforehand.

If you receive a city water bill, this information also went out on the bills again this month!

❤️ BE PREPARED. BE INFORMED. BE INVOLVED.

✅ HELP STRENGTHEN OUR COMMUNITY – YOUR VOICE MATTERS 🔥🌾

🌧️❤️ A LITTLE RAIN, A LITTLE RELIEF, AND A MUCH-NEEDED BREATH.

I think we can all agree that the rain we've been receiving the past few months is a welcome sight across the Texas Panhandle!

After an abnormally dry spring, months of dry conditions, high winds, fire weather watches, and red flag warnings, it's nice to finally see some moisture.

For our firefighters, first responders, and those of us working behind the scenes in emergency management, fire weather carries a lot of weight. It's the constant monitoring, preparation, coordination, and knowing how quickly conditions can change.

I know you all feel the same. So, let's take a breath and appreciate this rain. Our first responders deserve that little reprieve, too. ❤️

🌧️ BUT DON'T PUT THAT PREPAREDNESS MINDSET AWAY JUST YET!

🔥 DO YOU KNOW READY, SET, GO?

Here's a quick reminder:

🚩 READY – Red Flag Warning: Critical fire weather conditions. Stay informed and avoid activities that could cause sparks or flames.

🔥 SET – Fire Warning: A life-threatening wildfire is occurring in a designated area. Be prepared to evacuate if directed by local officials.

🚨 GO – Evacuation Immediate: Mandatory evacuation has been requested. Leave immediately and follow instructions from emergency personnel.

READY means prepare. SET means be ready to leave. GO means leave when evacuation is ordered.

📣 NOW, LET'S TALK EMERGENCY NOTIFICATIONS!

❤️ We are thankful for the rain, the moisture returning to our land, and this much-needed break for those who stand ready to respond.

We can't control the weather, but we can control how prepared we are.

Enjoy the rain, take a breath, look out for one another, and let's stay ready for whatever comes next!

🚨❤️💙 HAPPY FIRST RESPONDERS DAY! 💙❤️🚨
🇺🇸 CITY OF FRITCH | HONORING THOSE WHO ANSWER THE CALL 🇺🇸

Today, the City of Fritch proudly recognizes and honors the brave men and women who dedicate their lives to protecting our community and serving others.

From answering emergency calls in the middle of the night to responding to fires, medical emergencies, accidents, severe weather, and other critical incidents, our first responders are there when people need them most.

🚔 Law Enforcement — Protecting our community and keeping our neighborhoods safe.

🚒 Firefighters & Fire Marshals — Responding to fires, protecting lives and property, and helping prevent emergencies before they happen.

🚑 EMS Personnel — Providing critical, lifesaving care when every second counts.

📞 911 Dispatchers — Serving as the calm voice guiding people through some of their most frightening moments.

🌪️ Emergency Management Personnel — Preparing for disasters, coordinating resources, and helping protect our community before, during, and after emergencies.

These dedicated professionals and volunteers sacrifice time with their families, work through challenging conditions, and often put themselves in harm’s way to help others. Their service extends far beyond the emergency itself. It is a commitment to their neighbors, their community, and the people who depend on them.

An update to the forecast this evening. While fog is still a possibility tonight the confidence in widespread fog is not as high. Overall it will be more patchy in nature, but still has the potential to be dense in some areas, just not widespread. So still take precaution and allow for more time in the morning, but right now very low visibility may only be isolated.
