🚨STATION TRAINING🚨

Last evening members conducted hose testing for Rescue Engine 71. This is annual testing of every piece of hose using high pressure to ensure the lines are safe for operation!

This also gave us an opportunity to go over our hose loads, deployment, and proper repacking with some of our newer members. Every piece of hose was pulled from the rig and tested to NFPA standard.

We also were joined by our newest member Bryce Kline. Bryce will be attending essentials to firefighting along with several other members soon! Welcome to the team Bryce!

🚨CO ALARM🚨

E71 and U71 responded early Saturday morning to a CO alarm. Crews encountered 0 readings as the source was determined a faulty alarm. Homeowner had a chirping CO alarm and made the RIGHT decision by not brushing it off and calling 911!

🔔REMINDER 🔔

It is the time of year where residents begin turning on furnaces and heating appliances! CHECK YOUR CARBON MONOXIDE ALARMS!!! Take them down, clean them, and check batteries! Your 5 minutes of care now will be the difference when you have a CO related accident!

***We also had a spectator mesmerized by all the people. Crews were sure to consider his uncertainties by giving him a fire dog of his own! These stuffed animals were provided by the “Because We Care Foundation” for kids at emergency scenes to ease there minds and comfort them!
