🩷🎀 THINK PINK! 🎀🩷
Friday, our school turned PINK in support of Breast Cancer Awareness! 💗 Our staff and students came together to wear pink honoring survivors, supporting those battling breast cancer, remembering those we’ve lost and spreading hope for a cure.🌸💕

Every pink shirt, ribbon, and smile represents love, strength, and support for those affected by breast cancer. Together, we stand united in raising awareness and reminding everyone that hope is stronger when we stand together! 🩷🎀

💗 Wear Pink. Spread Hope. Raise Awareness.💗

Good Evening, Southwest Middle School families!

This is Dr. Davria with this week’s information and updates.

First, a reminder that there is no school for students this Wednesday, October 28, due to a mandated teacher professional development day.

In athletics, our volleyball and boys soccer teams will play at home on Monday. Wrestling will travel for an away match on Tuesday and then compete at home on Friday. We hope you’ll come out and support our student-athletes!

I also want to remind families that blankets are not permitted at school. As the weather gets cooler, students who are cold should plan to wear appropriate clothing, such as a jacket, sweatshirt, or sweater. Thank you for helping us keep this expectation consistent.

We also have two important announcements from our neighboring high schools. The principals of Ashbrook and Huss High Schools have asked us to remind families that middle school students who plan to attend the Ashbrook–Huss football game this Friday must be accompanied by an adult. Please make arrangements ahead of time if your student plans to attend.

Additionally, Hunter Huss High School invites our Southwest students and families to Haunted Huss this Tuesday, October 27, from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. This is a fun opportunity to enjoy a community event with our high school neighbors!

Thank you for your continued support and partnership. Let’s have a great week, Roadrunners!

Remember, Roadrunners rise to excellence—Ready, Respectful, and Relentless!
