New equipment alert!

Lost Pines GCD General Manager is excited about our new E-line tool added to our equipment lineup! This tool allows us to measure groundwater levels and determine the total depth of a well.

We are excited to put this equipment to use during our upcoming fall well checks as part of our free Well Watch Program!

Cities need reliable water supplies. Growing communities need water. Economic development needs water.

But groundwater development also has consequences.

If groundwater is transported to support growth somewhere else while rural landowners experience declining artesian pressure, increased pumping costs or failing domestic wells, then some of the true cost of that water has been shifted onto the community where it originated.

A sustainable water supply isn't just about finding water.

It is also about accounting for its impacts.
