In observance of Memorial Day, Grand Prairie Recreation Centers will be closed Monday, May 25.
The community is invited to attend the Cityβs Memorial Day Ceremony at 10 a.m. at the Veterans Memorial, 925 Conover Dr., as we honor and remember the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country.

Join us this Memorial Day as we honor the brave Grand Prairie service men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom. β€οΈπ
This yearβs ceremony will feature guest speaker Raymond Kemp, retired United States Navy Fleet Master Chief.
The program will also include the reading of fallen service membersβ names, the ringing of the Brass Honor Bell, a flyover (weather permitting), a 21-gun salute by the Grand Prairie Police Honor Guard, and the playing of Taps.
Guests are invited to stay after the ceremony for hot dogs and lemonade provided by the Grand Prairie Rotary Clubs.

The summer swim season kicks off Memorial Day weekend in Grand Prairie! βοΈπ City-operated outdoor pools and splash pads will open for the summer next Saturday, May 23.
