Grant Public Schools This is the official page of Grant Public Schools. GPS is a K-12 district serving 1800 students. Grant Public School District is a Gun Free Zone

Grant Public School District, as it operates today, was founded in the early 1900s to serve the students of Grant and the surrounding townships “one room” school houses. The district is in the southeast section of Newaygo County covering approximately 113 square miles. The lay of the land has rolling hills that house orchards, low lands consisting of muck fields, open fields for farming and forest areas. The City of Grant, is found in the center of the district. Grant Public Schools has four educationally focused buildings consisting of a:
Primary Center, which houses preschool through first grade. Elementary containing second through fourth grade. Middle School where fifth grade through eighth grade are located. High School, serving ninth grade through twelfth grade. The district also has a Fine Arts Center with the capacity to hold a wide range of performances, with a seating capacity 790. This building serves our band, choir and theater programs extremely well throughout the year. Much of the athletic complex is on the grounds of the middle school, which includes the football, soccer, baseball and softball fields, as well as the track and cross country course. The competition gym for volleyball and basketball is also connected to the middle school. In addition, the high school hosts wrestling events as well as having eight tennis courts for students and the community. With a quality staff, Grant Public Schools, will continue to
“Develop today’s learners to be tomorrow’s leaders.”

🐾 Meet Beasley, Grant Early Elementary’s amazing facility dog! 🐾

We are so grateful for the incredible impact Beasley has already made in our school and in the lives of our students. 💙

A huge thank you to Newaygo Public Schools for hosting us to celebrate, and to Maranda from WOOD TV8 for coming out to showcase Beasley and the wonderful work happening at Grant Early Elementary!

We also want to give a heartfelt THANK YOU to Priority Health, Corewell Health Grand Rapids Hospitals, and the Ge**er for funding our school dog, and to Canines for Change for providing Beasley’s training. We are so grateful for your support!

Beasley has quickly become a special part of our school family. She helps greet students each morning, giving them an extra reason to smile and get excited about coming through our doors. 🐶❤️

She also helps motivate students to remain in their general education classrooms by earning breaks to spend time playing with Beasley. When students need a little extra support, Beasley visits them in the nurse’s station and Ready Room, where her calming presence helps students re-regulate and get ready to return to learning.

Beasley may have four paws, but she is making a BIG difference in our school! 🐾💙

We are so thankful for everyone who helped bring Beasley to Grant Early Elementary and for all the ways she supports our students each and every day!
