I know, I know... we’re not even to Halloween yet, and here we are talking about Christmas! But some traditions are just too good not to plan ahead for.

Our 4-H Club is gearing up for the holiday season, and one of our favorite and most coveted activities is Christmas Caroling!

We’re looking for suggestions from our community. Do you know someone who could use a little extra joy, a smile, or some holiday cheer this season? Maybe an elderly neighbor, someone who could use a pick-me-up, or a family who would appreciate a little extra Christmas spirit?

We’d love to stop by and sing a few Christmas carols! No need to invite us inside. We typically sing three or four songs right at the door and then head on our way. Just a few minutes of Christmas cheer from our 4-H kids can go a long way!

Our planned caroling date is the evening of Friday, December 11th.

If someone comes to mind in the Grantsburg area, please send us a message! We promise we’re not trying to rush the seasons, just making sure we have time to spread a little extra joy when the time comes!

Looking for a fun way to try something new? Burnett County 4-H is hosting Project Day, a hands-on afternoon full of learning, creativity, and fun for kids and families!

Youth in kindergarten and older can choose up to three one-hour sessions, with a variety of projects to explore. Some sessions will even be taught by a few of our very own 4-H members!

And the best part? You do NOT have to be a 4-H member to participate!

Check out the projects and descriptions, find something that sparks your interest, and join in on the fun! Share with friends and family who might love this opportunity!

A beautiful fall day spent together! Following our Adopt-a-highway clean up, we enjoyed our annual hayride and potluck as we kicked off another 4-H year.
It’s always special getting together to celebrate, connect, and make memories with our 4-H family.

Our Jolly H’s 4-H members were out making a difference today with our Adopt-A-Highway cleanup! 💚

We’re proud of our members for taking the time to give back to our community and help keep our roadsides clean. 4-H is about more than projects and the fair. It’s about learning to lead, serving others, and making a positive impact right here at home!

Great job, everyone! Thank you to our members and families who came out to help!

It’s National 4-H Week! 💚

If you don’t get a chance to see our 4-H window display in person at the library, here’s a little look at how we’re highlighting 4-H this week!

Every 4-H experience helps us grow Beyond Ready. Through 4-H, youth have opportunities to try, learn, grow, lead, and give back, building skills and confidence that carry with them far beyond their 4-H years.

We’re proud to share the many ways 4-H helps young people grow, discover new possibilities, and become Beyond Ready!

💚 The Jolly H’s Want to Give Back! 💚

As we get ready to start planning a new 4-H year, the Jolly H’s are looking for new ways to give back to our community!

We’d love to find opportunities for our members to learn, serve, and make a difference right here in our community. We’d especially love to hear from local organizations, groups, businesses, or community members who may know of a need or opportunity that our 4-H club could help with.

Maybe it’s helping with a local event, lending a hand with a project, doing some cleanup, helping an organization, partnering with another club or something we haven’t even thought of!

Is there a need in our community that you think the Jolly H’s could help with? We’d love to hear your ideas! Please send us a message and let us know. While we may not be able to take on every opportunity, we’d love to hear what’s out there and see where we might be able to help.

We’re excited to find new ways for our members to get involved, learn the value of service, and give back to our community! 💚

From the animal barns to the fairhouse, Jolly H’s kids could be found everywhere at the Burnett County Ag Society Fair! They brought their animals, projects, creativity, hard work, and 4-H spirit to the fair, and we couldn’t be prouder of the way they represented our club and our community.

One of my favorite moments was at the Little Britches showing, where all 9 entries in Beef were Jolly H’s girls! 💚🐮

Our member's hard work could be seen throughout the fair. Behind every project, animal, photograph, craft, baked good, and fairhouse entry were hours of learning, practicing, creating, and preparing. These kids put in the work, stepped outside their comfort zones, shared what they had learned, and proudly showed our community what they can do.

We are so proud of all of our Jolly H’s members and grateful for the families and community members who support them along the way. It takes a lot of time, effort, and encouragement to make a fair like this happen, and our kids continue to make that investment worthwhile. 🍀

Of course, the fair wasn't all work! There were carnival rides, pedal pulls, grandstand events, laughter, time with friends and family, and plenty of memories made along the way. Those are the moments that make fair week so special.

We’re proud to be part of a community that gives young people the opportunity to learn, work hard, try new things, and share their accomplishments with others.

Grantsburg Community, we’d love to see YOU at the fair this weekend supporting our Jolly H’s 4-H’ers!
Our fair may be small, but the dedication, hard work, and heart these kids have poured into their projects is anything but small. They’ve worked hard all year, and they would love the chance to show you what they’ve accomplished!
Come out, cheer them on, ask about their projects, and celebrate all their hard work. Your support means so much to these young people!
Come to the fair this weekend and help us show our Jolly H’s 4-H’ers how proud our community is of them! 💙🐷🐄🐑🐴🌾
