Welcome to the Granville Fire Department web site. Approximately twenty-four volunteer members provide 24/7 coverage to approx. 1,600 permanent residents.

The GFD is a municipal volunteer fire department responsible for the safe and efficient ex*****on of life, property, and environmental preservation through fire suppression, specialized rescue, BLS Ambulance service, and code compliance enforcement to the citizens and visitors of Granville Massachusetts. Two stations located on state route 57 cover the 43 square miles of town. In addition to local emergency response, mutual aid assistance is provided to all surrounding communities. The Fire Department also administers the issuance of smoke/CO detector certificates, petroleum tank installation permits, underground oil tank removal permits, open burning permits, and oil heating appliance permits.

We've had an awesome year selling baked potatoes, chili & apple cake at the Harvest Fair! This is our biggest fundraiser of the year & helps us to purchase equipment to keep our members & the community safe. None of this would be possible without our sponsors. As the 2026 Harvest Fair comes to a close, we had 2 gorgeous fall days and 1 with rain we were able to make the most of.

All members who helped out did a fantastic job hammering out orders of loaded potatoes, chili, and apple cake.

We thank everyone who came by for their support to allow us to work to achieve our mission.

Celebrate Granville's 2026 Harvest Festival and America's 250th anniversary with a special commemorative patch supporting the Granville Fire Department.

America's 250th anniversary is a major milestone in our nation's history, and Granville's Harvest Festival is a special time to celebrate the history, traditions, and community that make our town what it is today. This commemorative patch brings those two occasions together in a unique way, giving residents a chance to remember the occasion while showing their support for their local fire department.

Every purchase helps support the Granville Fire Department and our continued efforts to protect the lives, property, and environment of our residents and visitors. Your support helps us continue serving our community and working toward providing the best emergency services protection possible.

We are now accepting orders in advance. The patches have not arrived yet, but they will be distributed once they come in. This is a limited-run design, so be sure to get your order in before they're gone.

The 2026 Harvest Fair is next weekend!

Granville Fire will again be setting up our booth to serve our delectable Baked Potatoes and Chilli along with some cold drinks, coffee, and cocoa.

We are hoping for a picturesque autumn weekend and excited to see all who attend and stop by our booth!
