Join us in celebrating the feast day of St. Ursula on Wednesday, October 21st with Mass at 12:00pm, followed by a free light luncheon afterwards in the Sisters Lounge. All are welcome!

According to medieval tradition, Ursula, a daughter of a British chieftain, refused a forced marriage to a pagan prince and set sail on a pilgrimage to Rome accompanied by 11,000 virgin companions. On their return, they were captured and martyred by the Huns in Cologne.

She is the patron saint of Cologne, England, archers, orphans, and female students, as well as the namesake for the Ursuline nuns dedicated to girls' education.

This Indigenous Peoples’ Day, the Ursuline Centre honors the Native peoples of Montana and beyond—their enduring cultures, wisdom, resilience, and living contributions to our communities.

As we reflect on the Ursuline Sisters’ legacy of faith and service, we recognize that our intertwined histories hold both meaningful relationships and painful chapters. We approach those histories with humility, respect, and a willingness to listen and learn.

Today, we affirm the dignity of Indigenous peoples and express gratitude for the Sisters whose commitment to compassion, and healing inspires our work. May we carry that compassion forward through honest understanding, care for one another, and a shared commitment to peace.

Love grows here—through healing, learning, and respect.

This past weekend saw a robust crowd in attendance at the Cascade Opera House to honor Mary Fields and dedicate a monument to her. Ursuline Academy alumnus Frank LaLiberty was one of several guest speakers on hand who spoke of her life and times at St. Peter’s Mission!
