Sad news from Kate Kelly, Steve Thompson's daughter.

Today, Sept. 19, 2026 at 1am our favorite guy took his final breath and went to Heaven to be with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. What our guy has endured over the past 8 months is something no human should ever have to experience. He was a fighter up until the very end and the love the three of us (my mom, dad and I) have for each other is somethingI'll be forever grateful for. We are devastated beyond words, and I cannot believe I no longer have my Daddy here on Earth, but we now have a guardian angel watching over all of our family. Until we meet again, Dad💔💔. Once funeral arrangements have been made, we will share the details.

Our class is saddened by this news and will keep the family and friends in our thoughts and prayers. cml

Thank you to everyone who attended our 55th Class Réunion! We had a wonderful time enjoying the band, Center of Gravity, great food from Ge**er Burger and of course Antietam Ice Cream and cupcakes. We also honored our classmates who have left us, 66 of them, and of course our classmates who are battling illness, Steve and Jeff. We shared stories, danced, laughed and reflected on all the years gone by. The only regret is that more of our friends did not attend. Again, thanks to everyone for an enjoyable day!!!! cml

Update from Steve's daughter Kate. The open house that was planned for this Saturday for Steve had to be canceled. He has taken a turn and they are not sure if having a lot of people in would be the best option. We have told them we will keep him in our prayers as a class and if there's anything we can do to let us know. They are asking if you pray to please pray because he has still not given up. cml

Update from Steve's daughter:

Well, this was not the news I was hoping to post on my Dad but her we are. Dad's scans looked promising in mid July but unfortunately we were thrown another curveball when his Ca-19 (cancer antigen) levels began to increase in his blood work. We were optimistic, but we received confirmation that there aree more lesions in his liver or the ones that have been there before have gotten bigger. It's certainly not what we thought would happen, but now Dad will be done with chemo since it is no longer working. Which is almost a relief. Yesterday the FDA approved Daraxonrasib, a drug for metastatic pancreatic cancer patients which has shown promise when chemo stops working. Our cancer team is working to get him access. I honestly don't even know how my Dad has maintained such a positive outlook on this horrible disease. That you Dad for continuing to fight when you feel exhausted, horrible and crappy. As you keep saying "it's all in God's hands". We love you so much!

Please continue to pray for our classmate and friend, Steve. He definitely needs all the positive vibes he can get!!!! cml
