(English/Español) COMPOST YOUR PUMPKINS! Don’t toss your jack-o’-lanterns in the trash. Give them a second life instead! Last year, Hailey residents composted over 5,200 lbs of pumpkins, which went on to become nutrient-rich soil at Winn’s Compost.

This year, drop your pumpkins at the dedicated pumpkin dumpster at Albertsons. Please use this dumpster only for pumpkins, not the City’s orange compost bins. Be sure to remove all candles and decorations first. We cannot accept pumpkins with paint, glitter, or other non-organic decorations...
¡COMPOSTA TUS CALABAZAS! No tires tus calabazas de Halloween a la basura; ¡dales una segunda oportunidad! El año pasado, los residentes de Hailey compostaron más de 5,200 libras de calabazas, las cuales se transformaron en tierra rica en nutrientes en Winn’s Compost...
Este año, puedes dejar tus calabazas en el contenedor específico para este fin ubicado en Albertsons. Por favor, utiliza exclusivamente este contenedor para las calabazas —no los contenedores de compostaje de color naranja de la ciudad— y asegúrate de retirar primero todas las velas y decoraciones. Please bring your grass, yard trimmings and branches (no longer than 8 feet, and no larger than 18 inches in diameter) to the Park and Ride (corner of Bullion and River St) on Saturday, October 24th from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm...
