The cones were set, the plows were down, and the competition was on at the 2026 SJTA Operations Annual Snow Equipment Road-E-O!
Eleven drivers from East, Central, and West Maintenance, Crafts, Fleet, and Atlantic City International Airport took on a 13-event course designed to test their snow-equipment skills.
And this was no simple drive around the yard.
Competitors faced Offset Lanes, Tennis Ball Alley, Diminishing Clearance, the Serpentine, Alley Dock, Parked Vehicles, Measured Right Turn, Barrel Push, and plenty more. Every cone, barrel, turn, stop, and maneuver tested the precision and control our operators rely on when winter weather arrives.
The Road-E-O is serious training, but it is also one of those events that brings employees together. Coworkers from across the SJTA came out to support the drivers, cheer them on, and enjoy a little friendly competition along the way.
And congratulations to Sean McBride (East Maintenance) who scored 2,748 out of 3,600 points and is the 2026 Road-E-O Champion.
