WRIGHT COUNTY BURN BAN — EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY

Due to severe drought conditions and extremely high fire danger, the Wright County Commissioners have enacted a countywide burn ban effective today, September 14.

No open burning, campfires, trash burning, or other fires are permitted, except as specifically allowed by the resolution. The ban will remain in effect for 60 days unless rescinded or extended.

This is serious. Firefighters across Wright County are currently battling a fire that has already grown to several hundred acres.

Please do your part: DO NOT BURN. Help us protect our communities, property, and firefighters.

A Special Thank You to Our Community!

The Wright County Clerk’s Office would like to extend our sincere appreciation to Stockmens Bank of Hartville, Progressive Ozark Bank of Mansfield, Oakstar Bank of Mountain Grove, and Legacy Bank and Trust of Mountain Grove for providing food for our poll workers on Election Day as a gesture of appreciation for all they do.

Our poll workers give approximately 14 hours of their day to serve their community and help ensure that our elections run smoothly. In addition to their long Election Day, poll workers are also encouraged to attend recommended training to help them stay informed and prepared to properly carry out their responsibilities.

Their dedication, long hours, and willingness to serve are truly appreciated.

It means so much to see local businesses and community members recognize and support our election workers and the election process here in Wright County. Acts of kindness like this remind us what a great community we have.

If showing appreciation for our poll workers at future elections is something you or your business would be interested in, we would be happy to hear from you. Your support means more than you may realize and is a wonderful way to show our election workers that their service to our community does not go unnoticed.

On behalf of the Wright County Clerk’s Office and our poll workers, thank you for your generosity, thoughtfulness, and continued support of our community and our elections.
