Congratulations to Lone Star Groundwater Conservation District on their very successful Symposium in celebration of their 25th anniversary! Led by General Manager Sarah Kouba, the Symposium featured a number of excellent panels, including Conservation Progress, Hot Topics in Groundwater Law, Navigating Rapid Growth, and Science and Technology. Our very own Alan Day spoke on a panel about Groundwater Management.

Many thanks to Lone Star for providing such an informative and thoughtful gathering!

Lisa Miller of Bremond is shown here with the new continuous well monitoring equipment for her Simsboro water well! Yesterday we installed an Eno Scientific sounding device to take well readings, along with a SignalFire Wireless Telemetry Ranger to send that data to the cloud where we can access it. With a combination of grant funds from the Texas Water Development Board and district funds, this is the 21st well to be equipped with continuous monitoring equipment, sending data to the cloud base!
