At this year’s Hillsboro High School Athletic Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony, the following inductees were honored for their achievements, dedication, and lasting impact on Hillsboro ISD and our community.

🏈 2001–2002 Hillsboro High School Football Team
Under the leadership of Head Coach Bryan Erwin, this team accomplished something truly special by winning bi-district, ending a 46-year drought. In addition to their team success, many players earned individual awards and recognition at the conclusion of the season.

🏆 Minnie Shead – Community Service Award
Minnie Shead served Hillsboro ISD from 1989 to 2006, working at both Travis Elementary and Hillsboro High School. She was a tremendous supporter of Hillsboro athletics, our schools, and our students. Her genuine love for helping others and her dedication to supporting and cheering on every student made a lasting impact on our school community.

Congratulations to all our inductees! 👏 We are proud to celebrate your legacy and thank you for the positive impact you've made in Hillsboro.

❤️🎗️ RED RIBBON WEEK WAS A HUGE SUCCESS AT HHS! 🎗️❤️

What a week! Our Eagles learned, laughed, and had a BLAST showing their commitment to living a healthy, drug-free life! 🦅❤️ We loved seeing everyone get creative and participate in our Red Ribbon Week dress-up days!

👕🏈 Monday: Red Out for a Drug-Free Life! ❤️
We kicked off the week by wearing RED to stand together for a drug-free future!

🏈 Tuesday: Team Up Against Drugs! 💚
Our Eagles showed their team spirit by sporting their favorite jerseys and sports shirts while reminding everyone that we're stronger when we stand together!

🏄‍♂️🛹 Wednesday: Surfer vs. Skater — Ride the Wave of Being Drug-Free!
Students brought the beach and skate park vibes to campus while learning the importance of making healthy choices!

🎉🎄 Thursday: Drugs Are Never the Right Choice for Any Occasion!
From dressing for the wrong occasion to rocking some fun and unexpected outfits, our students showed off their creativity while keeping everything school-appropriate!

❤️🎗️ Beyond the fun outfits and themed days, Red Ribbon Week gave us an opportunity to learn more about the importance of making safe, healthy choices and staying drug-free. We are so proud of our students for participating, spreading awareness, and making this week such a memorable one!

A HUGE thank-you to everyone who participated and helped make Red Ribbon Week a success! We learned so much, had a blast, and showed that our Eagles know how to soar toward a brighter, healthier future! 🦅❤️💛

🎭👵 AGING UP ON STAGE! 👴🎭

Our HHS Theatre students are learning that great acting goes beyond memorizing lines! 🎬✨

Students explored the principles of theatrical old-age makeup, learning how wrinkles, shading, and facial details can transform an actor into a believable older character.

After practicing their wrinkle techniques, students had the opportunity to model for Ms. Gregory, who demonstrated how theatrical aging makeup comes to life! 🖌️🎭

From creativity to attention to detail, our theatre students are discovering the many skills that bring characters and stories to life on stage!

👏 Way to go, HHS Theatre! We can't wait to see what you create next!

🎃👻 A LITTLE SPOOKY SURPRISE FOR OUR AMAZING TEACHERS! 🧡🍬

Our HHS Student Council brought a little Halloween fun to the halls by surprising our teachers with a spooky trick-or-treat as part of their monthly teacher appreciation gifts! 🍭🕸️

We are SO blessed to have students with such kind, thoughtful, and giving hearts! 💛 These little acts of kindness are a sweet reminder that appreciation goes both ways, and we couldn’t be prouder of our Eagles for finding ways to make others feel special! 🦅✨
