Hillsboro Lions Club welcomed Ariel Salvador, Bianca Chen, and Colton Epling to the club on Tuesday, October 27. All three were finalists in the Club’s Peace Poster competition and the winner was sent off for the district competition.

This year’s contest had the theme of ‘Harmony in Humanity’ and all of the entries definitely showed compassion. Ariel's Peace Poster went on the district competition.

Making a monetary donation to support our local food bank

Our Annual Cereal Food Drive begins today! This year, our goal is to collect 500 boxes of cereal to help those in need in our community. Last year, you completely blew us away by smashing our goal and donating an amazing 603 boxes!

We need everyone’s help to make this year another huge success. When you bring in your cereal, please drop off the boxes in the cart located in your hallway.
Student Council will be counting the boxes every morning during the food drive to track each grade's progress toward the 500-box goal.

They will update the main scoreboard in the cafeteria so you can see exactly who is leading the race for extra recess time. Keep dropping your boxes in your hallway carts, and let’s see which grade takes the lead after the first count!

To add some friendly competition, the grade that collects the most boxes of cereal by the end of the drive will win extra recess time!

Who do you think will take home the crown this year? Will the 4th grade dominate, the 5th grade cruise to victory, or the 6th grade lead the pack? Bring in your boxes starting Monday and let the best grade win!

What a SUPER start to a week focused on making smart choices, taking care of our minds and bodies, and staying healthy, happy, and safe! 💪🌟

Our Eagles are learning that you don't need a cape to be a HERO — just the courage to make good choices and do what's right! ❤️🦅
