Supporting You Through the Journey 🎗️❤️
A cancer diagnosis can be one of the most difficult and uncertain moments in a patient's life—and it directly impacts military readiness.
Across our military hospitals and clinics, dedicated nurse navigators and cancer care coordinators serve as the "hub" of information to guide newly diagnosed patients through every step of their treatment journey, from diagnosis to survivorship.
How they support our patients and families:
Coordinate Care: Discuss next steps, track referrals, schedule appointments, and coordinate with network providers.
Reduce the Burden: Help with transportation, genetic counseling, nutrition, behavioral health, and symptom management.
Maintain Readiness: Ensure active-duty service members stay connected to their commands and receive timely, high-quality care to support their recovery.
Preventive care remains crucial! We encourage our service members and spouses to schedule routine screenings with their primary care physician.
