FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

HOPKINSVILLE POLICE DEPARTMENT EXECUTES MULTIPLE SEARCH WARRANTS, RECOVERS OVER $10,000 IN STOLEN PROPERTY

HOPKINSVILLE, KY - On October 21 and October 27, 2026, members of the Hopkinsville Police Department’s Property Crimes Detective Section and Special Investigations Unit, with tactical support from the department’s SWAT Team, executed multiple search warrants at residential locations on East 23rd Street and Greenville Road in Hopkinsville, Kentucky.

These coordinated operations are part of an aggressive, ongoing investigative crackdown targeting property crime and theft networks within our community.

To date, the intensive investigative efforts of our personnel have successfully resulted in the recovery of over $10,000 worth of verified stolen property.

Because these investigations remain active and fluid, limited details can be released to the public at this time to protect the integrity of the ongoing case files. Further updates will be shared as legal parameters allow.

The Hopkinsville Police Department remains steadfast in its commitment to providing the citizens of Hopkinsville with continuous, proactive, and professional law enforcement service.

We would like to give a big thank you to Kim Wallace and the Hopkinsville Community College for inviting us out last week to conduct a hands-on crime scene processing class.

We had a great time working with high school students from Heritage Christian Academy, along with several students from the college’s Criminal Investigations class.

We truly appreciate the hospitality and the opportunity to share some of our knowledge and experience while giving students a closer look at crime scene investigations and the work that goes into law enforcement.

Thank you again for having us! We always enjoy opportunities like this to connect with students and share what we do.

10/25/2026

We spent the day at Founders Square participating in the 2026 MAC Chili Cook-Off and managed to come in 2nd place!

Thank you to everyone who came out to support!

🚨 SCAM ALERT 🚨

Hopkinsville, another round of scams is circulating.

Scammers are once again impersonating law enforcement and threatening people with arrest unless they pay “fines” for made-up criminal charges. These callers use fear and pressure to convince you to send money before you have time to question their claims.

Please remember:

• Law enforcement will NEVER call and demand payment to prevent your arrest.
• No law enforcement agency will ask you to pay fines using gift cards, Bitcoin, or other cryptocurrency.
• Do NOT send money, complete a transaction, or provide personal or banking information to these callers.
• Caller ID can be faked—even if the number appears to belong to a legitimate agency.

If you receive a call like this, hang up. Contact the agency directly using a verified phone number, rather than a number provided by the caller.

Please share this warning with friends and family, especially those who may be vulnerable to these scams. A quick conversation with someone you care about could help prevent them from becoming a victim.
