With the 2026 Citizen's Sheriff Academy ending last night, we would like to thank everyone who attended, along with our deputies, staff, and the F.O.P. who worked to make this year's academy great!

Sheriff Tyler DeArmond says we believe education comes from understanding, and I hope everyone left with a new understanding of law enforcement and some long-lasting friendships with our deputies.

Message boards went up in early September, alerting motorists to the coming change. Previously, only motorists on KY 115 had to stop at this intersection. Moving forward, vehicles on both KY 115 and U.S. 41 will need to stop.

This change was part of a highway safety initiative at an intersection that has seen a number of crashes through the years.
